Save Futurama!

On Sunday 10th August 2003 Futurama aired it's final episode, "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings", and the hope of Futurama returning to FOX died. Futurama has one final hope of Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" to continue, but at a cost of roughly $1 Million per episode, it looks unlikely that Cartoon Network can afford to produce the episodes.
However, i've recently been sent the Snail-Mail address for Cartoon Network. Be nice, write coherantly and spellcheck it. A well written letter is infinately more valuable then an e-mail:

February 8th 2002 was a dark day for Futurama fans. It was the day when Twentieth Century Fox, the TV network that owns the rights to show Futurama, anounced to Matt Groening that they didn't think they would order any new episodes, effectively cancelling Futurama. Im guessing that you are a Futurama fan wanting to save the show from cancellation, so below are certain measures you can take to try to save Futurama. The picture below is a link to the "Camaign Headquarters" at CGEF, where they will be more detailed information on this (For more support pics click here.)

Contact Via Email: Probably the least effective method of attack, but still worth the effort. Write an e-mail to askfox@foxinc.com, telling them that cancelling Futurama wouldn't be the best idea. Be polite and try to argue a good point. No matter how angry you are swearing won't help, its more likely to get your message ignored than a sensible e-mail. Also, try to avoid putting the words "Groening" or "Futurama" in the subject line, Fox may have put up a filter against deleting emails containing these words, instead use a subject line along the lines of "Don't cancel the best show on TV."

One more thing, don't expect a reply. Not receiving one doesnt mean your emails are not causing an effect. Send emails everyday to really hit home how important the show is to you.

Contact via Post: Though slow and unreliable ;-), posting letters will make much more impact to Fox. Again, as with emails, be polite and try to argue a good point. Also, I suggest writing it by hand, it shows more effort, which will show Fox what measures fans will go to to save the show. A first class stamp would help too! Send letters to either:

Ms. Gail Berman
President
Building 100 Room 4450
10201 W. Pico Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90035
United States of America

Also send your letters to:

Mr. Sandy Grushow
Chairman
Building 100 Room 5110
10201 W. Pico Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90035
United States of America

This is probably the best way you could try to Save Futurama. Don't forget to do it.

Online petitions: Online petitions have been set up in a bid to save Futurama. Try signing A Future for Futurama. As with e-mail, this isnt very effective, but every little helps.
Update:The Futurama petiton was sent to FOX with well over 130,000 signatures (about 40,000 were removed that used nicknames or offensive language). The printout has over 1,400 sheets of paper with two pages of selected quotes from the fans.

Other: Spread the word. Tell friends and family about it and urge them to try to help. Write to magazines that may display this news, and give them a link to The Campaign Headquarters. Got a website? Pt links to either here or the Headqurters on it. Call your local Fox Affliate to nag them about this problem (find your local affliate here).
Any other suggestions would be gladly received.

Anchovies For Fry: A rather strange initiative, but original none-the-less. Anchovies for Fry is an idea thought up by maddoc3d and several PEELers to send FOX a tin of "Angry Norwegian Anchovies" for the one-year anniversary of the cancellation of Futurama (10/08/2004). Ok, it may not exactly save Futurama, but it'll be a great way to get our own-back on FOX and send them several tonnes of stinking fish! For the purposes of this, GermanFryFan has created a label from the episode for you to glue onto your tin of anchovies. Save a copy from below, glue it to your tin and send it to:

FOX Broadcasting Co.
P.O. Box 900
Beverly Hills, CA 90213

Send FOX some Angry Norwegian Anchovies
